Founders recently hosted its biannual 48-hour retreat, Heritage Forum, at Pursell Farms in Sylacauga, Alabama. At Heritage Forum, attendees grow through fellowship in a collaborative gathering of high-capacity leaders, while being provided with the tools necessary to live a meaningful life. The goal is to help attendees create succession planning in a holistic way to create a lasting legacy. Topics of discussion include:
- Purpose
- Intentionality
- Fulfillment
- Legacy
- Engagement
- Vision
The spring forum was another exceptional event with a fantastic group of high-capacity leaders who left equipped to live a purposeful life of significance while working towards building a lasting legacy. Attendees spent time learning from experienced professionals, covering topics such as “Beginning with the End in Mind”, “Living Your Vision”, and “Going After Life to the Full.” Through teaching sessions, panel discussions, small group discussions, fireside chats, casual socializing, recreation and fantastic meals, attendees formulate their own “Heritage Vision”: the visualization of a preferable future including every major aspect of one’s personal and professional life related to their purpose and legacy. The forum culminated with a trip up to the mountain to “the secret place” for a word from David Pursell, Founder and CEO of Pursell Farms, along with a time for reflection.

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” – Jeremiah 17:7-8
